It was a great day, beginning with an opening prayer by Father Gabriel. We had a steady stream of over 300 enthusiastic and happy customers throughout the day. Lots of compliments on the organization, the variety of items, how helpful and friendly the volunteers were, and a lot of sad folks when told our next sale wasn’t until the fall. They love Grandma’s Attic and were thrilled to be there! They want more! Hence the never ending questions of when are you open, when is the next sale, how can I donate, I would like to volunteer. Refreshing, to say the least.
I personally want to thank the small core group of 10 or so preparation volunteers for everything you do to make the sale a very successful day at Grandma’s Attic. Gratitude to all of the committed volunteers for the countless hours spent fielding phone calls, texts, and emails, seeking out and picking up quality donations, organizing, cleaning, repairing, researching items, pricing, and displaying. The week leading up to the sale we met morning and night all 5 days. May you be blessed by the Lord for your dedication and sacrifice.
Thank You to the many volunteers giving up their Saturday to help customers find what they want or need, or convince them that they need it. An event like this takes a village. We need more villagers/parishioners to help. We had success as a parish working together, success with the community offering great items at great prices.
Success financially: Saturday’s proceeds: $5,690. Thank You again, we cannot say it enough.
