Catholic Women's Association (CWA) is a lay association of Christ’s Faithful governed by the Code of Canon Law created in Cameroon in 1964. The goal of the CWA is to “achieve a true renewal of the spirituality of its members…translate this spirituality into action… and enable members to model their lives after the lifestyle of the Blessed Virgin Mary,” its Patron Saint, under the title of “Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception,” whose Solemnity falls on December 8th. The CWA was launched in Boston in 2014 and currently has two branches, both based in Ste. Anne’s Parish: Queen of Peace and Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The motto of CWA is “to serve and not to be served” (Mt 20:28).
