The adult men and women who make up the Greeters, in many cases, are the first people a member or guest may interact with when arriving for Mass, which provides an opportunity for the Greeter to help set the tone for that person's Mass experience. They perform that important function by personally welcoming each person in a warm and friendly manner before the beginning of Mass and answering any questions that may arise. The Greeter passes out worship aids at the beginning of Mass when greeting members and guests and is available at the end of Mass to hand out the weekly bulletin.
A pleasant, outgoing personality is important for the Ste. Anne's Greeters, who may also assist with and double as Ushers at any given Sunday Mass or special occasion.
Ushers assist at each Sunday Mass, Holy Day Mass, and other special occasions as needed. The ushering staff is made up of adult men and women, who are capable of directing crowd flow and movement, take up the collection, assist those with special needs, and assist in distributing the weekly bulletin. Ushers may double as Greeters.
Our team of parishioners gather after the final Mass on Sunday to count the funds collected at Mass each week. We are always in need of more counters! Please call the parish office for more information.
