Following the approval of the Pastoral Council, we will begin a book club for our parish. The goal is simple: to help us think and discuss issues on faith, life, our Church, Jesus, God, philosophy and theology. Ludger Veer and Piotr Goszczynski will act as coordinators. I have had very interesting conversations with them, and find both to be very intelligent and creative thinkers. The plan is simple: We will have an assigned book which the members of the book club will read. And then, once a month, we will meet, either in person or virtually via zoom, to discuss issues from the text that speak to our lives today. The first book to be engaged will be by the English novelist,
C. S. Lewis: The Great Divorce. It is a very easy to read fiction, full of humor and creativity. We hope to have our first meeting,
January 2022. Starting this weekend, there will be a sign up sheet for those willing to become members of the St Anne's Book Club. I really encourage you, if you can, to consider joining this Book Club. You will have a good and great time with the world's famous writers. And we will always have some beautiful coffee and snacks when we meet.
