Marriage is a life commitment between a man and a woman. Therefore, it needs careful and thorough preparation in order that the couple can fully understand the meaning of the commitment. Marriage is a Sacrament, which means that the relationship of husband and wife should reflect the presence of Christ and his love for us. To live this Sacrament, a couple needs to grow in their faith as individuals and as a couple. Marriage in the Church should reflect the couple's readiness to make a commitment of love and faithfulness to each other as well as to live their faith and practice it within the community of faith, their local parish community. Please contact the Parish Office at least six months in advance to arrange for the celebration of your wedding.
This sacrament is for anyone who is seriously ill, in a weakened condition, facing surgery, entering hospice care, or near death. Please contact the Parish Office for this sacrament to be celebrated.
In your time of grief, we wish to offer you the consolation of hope in the Resurrection of Jesus and we will do all in our power to ensure that your beloved is fittingly commended to the loving mercy of Christ. When a death occurs in your family, please contact the Parish Office and the funeral home of your choice to make funeral arrangements. The funeral home will work with you to select a date and time for the funeral and vigil service, and will assist you in choosing scripture readings and appropriate music. The “Family Room” in the Parish Pastoral Center on Cleveland Street is available for the use of the family following a funeral in our parish. Please contact the Parish Office for details and stipends.
